The Challenge

REVO STC approached Southwest Engineering Concepts (SOENCO) with a mission to redefine the landscape of athletic recovery and soft tissue rehabilitation. Their team of sports medicine experts—including physical therapists, professional athletes, and engineers—had developed a proprietary four-stage recovery methodology and needed a powerful, portable device to bring it to life.


The goal: to create a clinically effective, user-friendly biomedical recovery device that could deliver targeted treatment for muscle spasticity, inflammation, healing, and rehabilitation. It needed to be suitable for both professional athletic training rooms and mobile physical therapy applications, while also being compliant with FDA and FCC regulations.



Our Approach: Full-Scope Biomedical Device Development

SOENCO took on the full product development lifecycle for this innovative sports recovery system, leading everything from early prototyping through to regulatory submission and pre-production engineering.


At the heart of the device is a custom signal generation system, designed to deliver REVO’s proprietary waveform technology—capable of activating and treating soft tissues with high precision. This waveform not only accelerates recovery times but also aids in injury prevention by identifying and addressing tissue imbalances before symptoms arise.


Key areas of development included:
